I think that's the GoPro cam with chest mount. The camera is in a plastic case which makes it water proof, but it can move a tiny amount inside the case which creates the sound you hear.

i dropped the 40 half an inch so the total travel was 7 1/2". that way the axle-crown height was similar to a 180mm single crown fork. i also used a cane creek zero stack headset so the geometry was affected less. i didn't notice any disadvantages from this setup, aside from making frame bumpers was a pain in the ass because the stock ones wouldn't contact. i ended up making some burly bumpers to prevent the lower crown from wrecking the frame. it worked well though, once removed there were only two very very small gouges, couldn't even call it a dent.
